From what I see of their sites -- Mission Accomplished! (hope it's not a curse to say that)

LOL re the student who took the class "to learn more about this world of blogging" - I can imagine she might've been thinking "introduction to", but little did she know the wild ride that awaited... :-) Anyway, nice job, Anet!

Thanks, Jeri and Abby! The class cost $90 for four hours on a Saturday morning and will be offered next semester. All the students were 40+ and interested getting their content on the web in a way that they could manage, that was fast, and was free. We used WordPress.com which offers a wide range of templates but limited template customization. One student said:

Since I am an Engineer with an MBA who has been doing technical stuff for more than 30 years, I felt odd and somewhat foolish for not being able to access my e-mail through a browser. I appreciate you putting up with my limited knowledge and I am grateful to my fellow student for helping me set up a Gmail account. I'm am glad I stayed with it, because I did in fact learn some stuff. You were very helpful.

At the other end of the spectrum was a designer who was eager to customizer her site, and was fearless in trying new templates and helping out other students. Her feedback:

It was a good class for a starter and I really think it was set up well. You are right I will be upgrading to a WordPress.org installation soon. I tried to get into the CSS on my WordPress.com blog and it wouldn't let me so that is my sign to move on up to the full-press WordPress.org.

Because you have years of experience designing and building websites, Jeri and Abby, you will probably find WordPress.com template blogs too limiting. May I invite you to investigate WordPress.org for the information and downloads you need to install WordPress on your own server and to create the blog design that reflects your aesthetic. Of course, you are always welcome to attend the class.

Anet,

Looks like a great class. Just saw the announcement a few days ago, and when I went back to check the date for it, I was too late.
Will you do another one next semester?
