A graduate of the University of Arizona with a degree in Architecture, James Henderson managed construction projects from $200,000 to $50 million for rapidly-growing Dell Computer in Texas. A licensed architect in both California and Texas, Jim recommended real estate, developed budgets and schedules, and managed construction through to completion. When construction was complete, as Facility Manager for Dell, he would co-ordinate the move-in and oversee the computer installation and networking. Because the Facility Manager is also responsible for ongoing building maintenance, long-term operating cost of a building is fundamental to how James Henderson designs.
Design is important. It is what makes a house a home: it is what makes a commercial building productive and profitable. A well-designed office enhances the perception of an organization and benefits its culture. James Henderson works closely with owners and stake-holders to develop the "concept" that drives the design of the building. These discussions allow a project to take on a special meaning to the occupants and owners. This commitment to clarifying what is important for each project is what differentiates true Architecture from just another house or just another building. This process leads to the innovative design solutions that Henderson Architect provides.
Fundamental to the development of innovative design solutions is understanding that every project is different and every project requires personal attention and service. James Henderson is experienced in working with clients who are seeking input on how best to design their building. We provide a single point-of-contact so you work directly with the architect developing your vision for your project. The quality of our work reflects the quality of our service.
Construction today is a maze of regulation requirements, permits and approvals. Henderson Architect navigates this maze and provides necessary documentation for permit approvals, contractor bidding and construction. Because of James Henderson's years of experience at Dell Computer, he understands the Owner's point-of-view in the building process; site acquisition, planning, construction, building operation and maintenance. Few architects understand the financial and planning implications of the building decisions facing an Owner. Henderson Architect can be your professional guide through the maze of regulation requirements, permits and approvals.
